Video Production Intern

MOMENTUM MINISTRY PARTNERS

Time commitment: 20-25 hours per week

Reports to: Communications & Fundraising Director

Position Overview:

This position will support the communications and marketing of the organization through the medium of video and podcast while developing ministry and professional skills.

Essential Job Function:

  • Film, edit, and produce video content for promotion of all the organization’s programs and messaging.
  • Produce the Momentum Ministry Partners podcast, including scheduling, filming, editing, and publishing.
  • Create short form content for social media platforms to highlight the organization’s programs and values.
  • Collaborate with supervisors, fellow interns, program directors and other staff to provide input on the development and growth of communications avenues for the organization.
  • Fully integrate as a member of the staff by attending all intern trainings, meetings, and events for the duration of the internship.
  • Complete projects, assignments, and responsibilities on time.
  • Help nurture a culture of passionate pursuit of God within our team and the people we serve.

Specific Job Requirements:

  • Knowledge of video equipment and software and ability to operate independently.
  • Ability to work in Premier Pro, Logic, and other editing software.
  • Ability and willingness to work with a variety of video content captured with anything from professionally shot film to amateur iphone clips.
  • Most hours are within a typical M-F work day, but occasional weekend, evening, and travel is required to capture organizational events. Attendance at Momentum Youth Conference in July is required.

This role reports to the Communications & Fundraising Director while also working directly with the Executive Director of Ministry and other staff members to promote the mission and message of Momentum. It is expected that this intern will directly contribute to our efforts to communicate our vision to equip today’s Christians leaders for tomorrow’s opportunities.

Spiritual Life:

  • Growing in faith as a believer in Christ (2 Peter 1:5-11).
  • Has a teachable spirit and servant’s heart (Philippians 2:1-11).
  • Has a vibrant prayer life, as this is the beginning to healthy ministry and job function (I John 5:14).

General Requirements:

  • Must adhere to and support the vision and philosophy of Momentum and its leadership.
  • Must possess a strong work ethic (We are the recipients of the Lord’s money).
  • Self-directed and a self-starter. Able to work independently with minimal supervision while effectively managing time and projects. Pro-active and dependable.
  • Must have a heart that is focused on ministry, not just a job.
